Jefferson citizens keep actively involved in more than 55 clubs and organizations. Hobbies, special interests and community-oriented projects are offered to residents of all ages. Local chapters of service groups include the American Legion, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Lions, Optimists, Rotary, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
For the elderly, the Over 50 Club and the Jefferson Cab Committee - which offers free cab rides to the elderly. The new Jefferson Senior Center, located on Collins Road, was opened in 2003 which offers a wide variety of activities.
For the outdoors or sports minded, there are snowmobile and sportsman clubs. For the youngsters, there are 4-H clubs, J.A.W.S. (a swimming club), Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Falcon Friends and Explorers.
